Video Game Cosplayers World Record Attempt
On Free Comic Book Day in Melbourne this year (5 May 2012) there was an attempt to achieve a world record for the most video game cosplayers in one place at one time. Sadly I suspect the attempt was unsuccessful just because it was so damn cold that people registered and couldn’t be bothered waiting around freezing for long enough to enter the square and be counted. Being considered by the Guinness Book of Records was quite a laborious process. If anyone knows the attempt was successful, please comment!
I took photos of lots of costumes on the day before retreating into a pub for lunch and some warmth. I thought I’d be back for the tallying process and a group shot but when they (finally) put the cosplayers into the square they were quite quick and it was over in under half an hour.
