Little Book of Bad Moods for MothersA review by Emma Streeton

The Little Book of Bad Moods for Mothers is a grown-up activity book for mothers in a bad mood. This little gem of a book is a whole lot of fun! There is no denying that pregnancy and motherhood demand an awful lot of patience and understanding. This book will help relieve some of the stress of motherhood and help you turn it into funny moments.

This book is so adequately named.

Let’s face it: motherhood, in all its glory, gives you so many reasons for bad moods. From stretch marks to all consuming guilt, from toddler tantrums to teenage sulking – it’s as if your little darlings have been put on this earth just to drive you up the wall.

Mum’s turn to tantrum

With The Little Book of Bad Moods for Mothers, you can finally drop the pretense of holding it together and simply explode. Without hurting anyone. Full of cathartic activities, this taboo-breaking activity book provides mothers with a safe space to pour out those pent-up inner thoughts and emotions. As the front cover clearly encourages, it is mum’s turn to tantrum!

Read this book if…

If you have to stop yourself screaming louder than the child in front of you or throwing food back at your picky eating child, this book is for you. It is also a helpful reminder that you are not alone. Suitable for all mothers, from those with screaming babies to those with intolerable grownup children and everything in between, this hilarious therapeutic book is a haven providing freedom to admit that sometimes motherhood simply sucks.

Smart, funny and lots of laugh out loud activities to do, I have really enjoyed dipping into The Little Book of Bad Moods for Mothers and will continue to do so as my two little bookworms provide me with more grumpy ammunition!
