Bourne Dominion by Eric Van Lustbader

The Bourne Dominion

a review by Lauren Schroder

Bourne is back in this fast-paced action thriller that will keep you turning the pages desperate to know what happens in this book.

The Bourne Dominion’s plot focusses on the global villains and Islamic extremists, the Severus Domna, who have decided to focus their attention on taking down America which Bourne has to prevent with the assistance of an unlikely ally. The revised Treadstone is being set-up to compensate for the intelligence hole Bourne has created on various occasions and finally you throw in Colombian drug lords to round off the excitement.

Eric Van Lustbader has kept to the vision of the original Bourne writer Robert Ludlum. It is obvious in this book that a lot of background research and author understanding has gone into creating this the sixth edition of the famous Jason Bourne saga. Eric cleverly has written this book so that it will appeal to die-hard Bourne fans and the newly initiated. It also does not simply hand the reader the story, it requires you to think and read between the lines to understand fully the complexity of The Bourne Dominion.

This book did take me awhile to get into but it was worth the effort. The writing style is brilliant and the end of the story makes the reader eager to get their hands on the next book in the series as the story continues on.
