Spoil sport
I got the usual phone call – at 10pm no less – you know THAT phone call with a PARTICULAR accent, the one where the guy says, ‘I’m calling about your windows computer’? I swore black and blue, up and down and sideways, telling this guy off for ringing so late and telling him I’m not that stupid.
I hung up.
Hubby walked back into the room, standing there just LOOKING at me. I had his FULL attention. I explained.
He was DISAPPOINTED. He wanted to have some fun.
I feel bad now…
Have you ever tortured these *very helpful people* who want to ‘fix you computer’? In my opinion the Geneva convention does not apply to phone hackers, so please, SHARE your tales of messing with scammers.

Don’t worry if you can’t find or install the program it should be enough to scare them off.
Tell them the delay is that you are starting wireshark.
They will hangup.
They will not ring back.
