BLIND SPOT IS OUT TO KILL ADOLF HITLER
After the successful release of Iron Sky, Blind Spot Pictures is developing its production, marketing and fanbase activities to improve its position on international genre markets. Timo Vuorensola, director of Iron Sky has joined Tero Kaukomaa as a partner in Blind Spot Pictures.
Timo Vuorensola is slated to direct a time travel story I Killed Adolf Hitler, about two hired guns from London, who are sent back in time to assassinate Adolf Hitler. Jamie and Alex Brown from London’s Studio Eight Productions have developed the property. The screenplay, written by DC Walker, is based on the Eisner award-winning Norwegian graphic novel by Jason. Blind Spot Pictures in conjunction with Studio Eight Productions and Niama Film’s Thomas Reisser, Gerd Hecker andMarcus Machura from Germany will co-produce, with filming set for early 2013.
Blind Spot is also continuing its collaboration with AJ Annila and developing his survival thriller Human together with Perfect Circle from Canada. Human is a story of a wolf that gets bitten by a woman and turns into a man. K5 is selling internationally.
The third production is a science fiction war TV series Deus X, set in year 2245, where a big war has broken out between humans, over a planet that is believed to Heaven.
Iron Sky prequel and sequel are also in the early stages of development. The question “how did the Nazis end up on the Far Side of the Moon” will have an answer in the three-part mini prequel series, and the story will continue in the feature film Iron Sky II.
Blind Spot launched Troll Vfx together with a Finnish commercial producerMjölk and Samuli Torssonen, the CGI wizard from Iron Sky. Troll is formed around Iron Sky visual effects team and is up and running since February this year. Their aim is to find CG productions from all over the world and offer high-quality VFX work out of Finland.
Blind Spot is also joining to develop a collaborative film making platformWreckAMovie.com.
Blind Spot just wrapped with crime drama Never Forever by Aku Louhimies to be released February 2013.
