★★★★☆ four out of five stars
Simon has been chatting to ‘ShyGirl 18’ online for a while without realizing she’s his probation officer, investigating the death of her fiance (probation officer number 1). In Misfits episode 5, Sally starts coming on to Simon at the community center, playing Simon like a pedophile reeling in a child.
Meanwhile, a baby visiting the community center for playgroup runs away. Nathan catches him and immediately falls in daddy-love. At first it looks like he’s hitting on the mum but by the time he says goodbye, you know it’s the baby. This is completely out of character.
Sally pursues Simon who stalks Sally… this episode is creepy on so many levels.
Finally [SPOILER DELETED].
Watch the story. It’s worth it. I highly recommend Misfits; it’s funny – sometimes light-heartedly funny, sometimes blackly humorous. The drama is engaging. Every person is unlikable in the beginning but the Misfits grow on you while you watch them live their lives, coping with their challenges and starting to look out for one another.
