Elephant Kisses

Russell B Farr, Liz Grzyb and Tali Helene behind a wall of books

At Continuum X, Ticonderoga Publications launched Death at the Blue Elephant and Kisses By Clockwork. Celebrations included some bubbly, authors reading snippets of their work (featured in the video) and some short speeches.

Russell B Farr introduced the event with acknowledging Ticonderoga authors who have passed away. Russell mentions the Year’s Best Science Fiction Fantasy and Horror along with the books being launched.

Kisses by Clockwork rates first mention prior to both Death at the Blue Elephant and the Year’s Best Science Fiction, Fantasy and HorrorDeath at the Blue Elephant, Janeen Webb’s first short story collection, is a source of pride for Russell, because he instigated this publication. Russell expresses his hope that he’s throwing a good party to celebrate these publications.

Tali Helene speaks first as one of the two editors of the Years Best, who are rarely in the same state to attend events together.

Kisses by Clockwork is Liz’s first steampunk romance anthology, with romances varying from glances across the room to the steamier side of romance.

Amanda Pillar read from her short story, ‘A Clockwork Heart’.

Angela Rega read from her short story, ‘The law of love’.

Damien White, aka D C White, read a section from ‘South, to Glory’.

Russell B Farr and Russell Blackford then speechified.

Janeen Webb read a short story from her collection, Death at the Blue Elephant, ending with a wicked smile.

Goodnight and Elephant Kisses to you all. Congratulations to the authors, editors and publisher.
