Diablo III #error37

Blizzard launched Diablo 3 around the world today to much fan fare. Below is an image from a midnight launch – notice it was still daylight!  (UPDATE: sorry folks, I linked to the pic which has since been removed)

On a less positive note, Blizzard has failed to provide sufficient servers.  Players have been locked out with messages that the servers are full, or have been stuck creating characters when the screens time out.

Lisa Brewster’s comment on twitter is fairly typical:  ‘Man, Diablo III is super hard. I’ve been playing for 30 minutes and haven’t even defeated the login screen. #error37

That’s right: within hours of the game launch, error37 is a world-wide joke and internet meme.  Way to go, Blizzard!
