Comas and Colons
Friday afternoon in copyediting class, everyone struggles to concentrate. Commas put us in a coma. Colons cause bowel dysfunction. ‘Veni, vidi, vici’ in English three times with three variants on punctuation inspires me to punc-tuate the wall. Apparently the split infinitive Nazis are on the retreat; I wish someone would inform the grammar generals this is the case. Cases of cases capitalise the Tedium.
