This is a Dark Matter Zine podcast and I’m your host Nalini Haynes. DMZ welcomes Baden and Jye Stone from Comet Squid to talk about their award-winning card game Alien Frenzy.
Dark Matter Zine Acknowledges this recording is taking place on the unceded Country of the Bunurong Peoples’ of the Kulin Nation as Traditional Owners and Custodians of this Country. I pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
In case you’ve already listened to the podcast and you’re only here for Alien Frenzy promo trailer, here it is:
Baden Stone graduated from Deakin with a Master of Architecture. The only Jye Stone I found nearby is heavily into football so I assume I’m talking to a different Jye Stone!
About Alien Frenzy
A newly discovered exo-planet sent shock waves across the globe today as the first-ever message from its inhabitants, the Sorras, reached Earth.
In an ominous and undoubtedly mocking tone, their message, ‘The Sorras are approaching. Your planet we are poaching.’ immediately caused people to wonder if the rhyme was intentional, or just a lucky coincidence. Seconds later it plunged the world into chaos.
When will they arrive? What do they want? Will they ever leave? No one knows. One thing’s for certain though, they’re not just coming for a cup of space tea.
Will you be ready to face Humankind’s biggest challenge?

Acknowledgement of Country
Dark Matter Zine Acknowledges this recording is taking place on the unceded Country of the Bunurong Peoples’ of the Kulin Nation as Traditional Owners and Custodians of this Country. I pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
(I have occasionally acknowledged Country in podcasts. This year I aim to lift my game in many areas, so I plan to Acknowledge Country in every podcast. An Acknowledgement of Traditional Owners can be done by anyone. It’s a way of showing awareness of, and respect for, the Aboriginal Traditional Owners of the land where a meeting or event is held. For more information about Country and respect for Australia’s First Nations, read this post that also has links to useful websites.)
